Larry B. Sanders
In 1989, Larry Sanders closed on his first real estate transaction, serving as an Assistant Realty Researcher for Lane Consultants. Prior to that, he attended Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky, focusing his studies on Real Estate and Construction Management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Real Estate, as well as a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Construction Management. After moving to Tennessee in 1996, he gained influence in the Knoxville home building industry. He was blessed to be involved in the explosion of the log home markets in East Tennessee during the mid-1980’s and 1990’s, gaining opportunities to work with construction professionals on home building projects throughout Tennessee. This formal education, training, and hands-on realty research experience began to shape a business vision that led to his dream to create a real estate group.
With a marketing base in the construction industry and proximity to many East Tennessee rivers, lakes, and mountains, The LBBA Group (formerly LARSAN CONSULTANTS) hit the ground running with immediate success! They developed a land and site research discipline that facilitated the sale of material packages for local Custom Home Builders and their clients. This organic growth of the company took its natural path as The LBBA Group began representing community developers that required local assistance and up-to-date real estate trending data. An extremely quick development period led them to become a reliable source for buying and selling information, as well as negotiation guidance.
As Larry’s career grew, he began to develop a marketing platform, which concentrated on an advertisement system directed at a target-specified market. This regional system and profiling technique, along with local MLS real estate marketing tools, has created a high-quality and extremely effective listing and selling structure. From this arose a strategic partnership system and the creation of two Knoxville area real estate agencies: Choice Homes Realty located in Powell, and Mountain Ridge Realty located in South Knoxville. During this period, Larry also served as a real estate instructor with TREC, where he tutored aspiring agents on marketing operations and listing and selling techniques.
Larry has assisted Knoxville-area buyers and sellers over many diverse projects, with a real estate career spanning 30 years. He truly believes in the warmth and kindness of the area’s people and has dedicated himself to helping them realize the joy of living, playing, and working in East Tennessee!
Beth A. Calmes
After being raised in Lexington and attending the University of Kentucky with a focus in art history, classical music performance, art studio, and Italian, Beth moved to Washington, DC where she started her journey as Vice President of Marketing at Showhomes of America, a franchise system that assists Realtors and homeowners sell their listings by transforming high-end vacant houses into fully-furnished, inviting, ready-for-market residences. She gained invaluable experience in short-term rentals through interactions with brokers, agents, homeowners, home managers, inspectors, and interior decorators.
Thereafter, she worked for a merchant bank and private equity fund management company, with a real estate investment and development division. She was an Executive Assistant to firm Directors, followed by her duties as Fund Coordinator to senior management and officers, and executed all aspects of facilities management for the firm. More recently, she has served as an Executive and Personal Assistant for a private art collector and corporate real estate investor, and as an administrator for a family foundation. From her more than 25 years of experience, she understands the importance of being proactive, resourceful, and flexible. She has honed the skills that enable her to anticipate obstacles, prioritize overlapping needs and requests, and be prepared with effective alternate plans. Additionally, her years of working in the high-intensity area of Washington, DC is an expanded and invaluable asset to anybody needing guidance in the real estate world. Currently, she is assisting with a multimillion dollar construction project for a high-end home.
Beth is strongly rooted in Tennessee, hailing from a family of six generations between Nashville and Knoxville. Her love of the land, mountains, rivers, lakes, and people is what motivates her to bring the highest level of service to The LBBA Group’s clients.
